Each of our overnight guests enjoys their own private, 100% cage-free suite, thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. Every suite includes a soft, cozy bed—perfect for resting after a joyful day of Doggie Daycare or Scratching Post playtime. In the evenings, your pet is tucked in with a gentle turn-down service, complete with animal-themed movies on their personal TV and soft lullaby music playing through the night to help them relax and sleep peacefully

Our suites feature Rusty Ridge’s signature modern style paired with warm, comforting details and a Fear-Free, soothing color palette. From the very beginning, our mission has been simple: to create a luxury lodging experience that feels nothing like a kennel. We strive to provide a space that is clean, safe, loving, and as stress-free as possible—so your pet feels secure, cared for, and truly at home while you’re away

For pets who need extra reassurance or specialized care, we offer our TLC Suites. These suites are perfect for sensitive pets, seniors, or those with special needs, and they’re located directly next to our veterinary treatment area for added peace of mind. Pets staying in our TLC Suites receive extra one-on-one attention and gentle care throughout the day. Just let us know your pet’s needs ahead of time, and we’ll make sure they’re surrounded by comfort, kindness, and familiar faces.

To keep every pet happy and healthy, Rusty Ridge Animal Center requires current veterinary vaccination records and veterinarian-prescribed flea and tick prevention for all guests. For safety reasons, flea collars and “natural” prevention products are not accepted.

Required Vaccinations

For all lodging, daycare, and grooming guests, the following must be current and on file prior to your stay:

Dogs:

1. Rabies

2. Distemper

3. Bivalent Influenza (H3N2/H3N8)

4. Bordetella

5. Negative Intestinal Parasite Evaluation (Giardia Antigen Negative) *Must be on file prior to your stay

Cats:

1. Rabies

2. Distemper

3. Negative Intestinal Parasite Evaluation (Giardia Antigen Negative) *Must be on file prior to your stay

These requirements help us provide one of the safest, cleanest, and most stress-free pet care experiences in Illinois—so you can relax knowing your pet is in the very best hands. 

Beginning in January 2025, all our lodging guests are required to be active clients of Rusty Ridge Animal Center. By focusing on our loyal clients, this change helps us stay closely connected with each pet’s individual needs and ensures we can provide the absolute best care in a familiar, loving environment!
